Darryl J. Dreyer joined the firm in December of 1999 and brought with him a diverse practice history. Darryl began his career by serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Orange County from 1993 to 1997. He thereafter worked as a litigation associate for a large law firm in midtown Manhattan representing the insurance industry on issues of personal injury and medical malpractice. Also prior to joining the firm, Darryl worked for a large local law firm as a trial attorney representing injured parties on personal injury claims. Darryl has successfully tried cases before the Supreme Court, County Court, Family Court, City Court(s), Town/Village Court(s), and DMV Hearing Officer. He has also written and argued a number of appeals in the Supreme Court, Appellate Division in Brooklyn.
Darryl's practice areas include personal injury, criminal, vehicle and traffic (including DWI), matrimonial/family law, and special education law.
Darryl received a Bachelors of Science in Economics, with high honors, from S.U.N.Y Binghamton in 1990 and thereafter achieved his law degree, cum laude, from the Boston University School of Law in 1993. Mr. Dreyer emphasizes a results-oriented approach to all of his cases, and makes himself available to his clients, after hours when necessary. He currently resides in the Town of Newburgh with his wife, and law partner, Sarah, and his three children, Jacob, Zachary, and Alyssa.
